Vocal, positive and colourful support at Ashton Gate! That's the aim of a growing number of individual fans and supporters' groups, who have come together to launch the 'Bristol City Surfer Flags Fund'.
Whilst appreciating that not everyone goes to a football match to sing, bounce, or wave flags, there are some fans in every stand that would like to be more involved in generating an atmosphere that is unique to Bristol City Football Club. The manager and players have always said what a big difference this can make.
In March 2012, 13 designs were submitted by fans and voted for via text, online and in bars around the ground. We had a couple of clear winners. A local businessman loaned us a few quid and we got on and had the “Flying Murray” flag made. The next one will be the “Pride of the West” design. But,
We need more money to do this!!!!
That is where you come in. Local businesses and supporters groups have stepped up with donations, but we also need individual fans to bung in a few quid by either donating online here or dropping some money into the various bucket collections happening in pubs and local events.
Come on, we can do this!
